Cathcart Energy are currently recruiting for a Wind Farm Service Technicians for our client, a turbine manufacturer, working on wind farms in South West Scotland.

This is an opportunity to work for a leading wind turbine manufacturer, and they are looking for technicians with a solid background in Operations and Maintenance Wind turbine services.

You will be responsible for keeping wind turbine equipment running smoothly. Your work involves maintaining, testing and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment and monitoring daily performance.

You will need to have a good technical background in any engineering discipline, as you will be performing:

* Bolt torquing, lubricating, adjustment, alignment, measurement.
* Fault diagnosis and repair of - Control system components - Hydraulic systems - Pitch systems - Brake system - Generator bearings - Cooling systems - Wind instruments - Small motors - Internal cabling - Drive couplings.

You will be climbing turbines and therefore will be expected to have a good head for heights as well as the fitness to perform this job on a regular basis.

As a Wind Turbine Technician, you will work in teams and are provided use of a company vehicle, tools, appropriate work clothes and PPE. You will need to have direct working experience in the wind sector and be familiar with working under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR) to be considered for this job.

The role will be based in Dumfries & Galloway and will require travel to other sites when needed.

Candidates need to be fluent in English and have a full UK Driver’s License.
