As Operations Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Operations Director to plan, direct, and manage the performance of a portfolio of operational onshore wind farms in England and Scotland.

The role will be based at the Head Office in Cheshire.

You will need to have a strong technical background with a qualification in electrical and/or mechanical disciplines;

It is essential that you have technical work experience in the wind industry;

Full driving licence required;

Experience of using Microsoft office software;

Good presentation skills & capable of communicating with Directors and Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities:

To be the 1st point of contact for all site activities in relation to, but not limited to, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance visits by the OEM technicians under the Service Agreements;

Provide on call response regarding operational control and emergency response plan;

To minimise all downtime and work pro‐actively with OEMs in order to schedule component replacements and major works during ‘low wind’ periods;

To manage the balance of plant & HV maintenance programme across all sites;

When required, ability to work at heights in wind turbine generators;

Experience of HSE requirements and industry best practice;

Contribute & review of internal monthly reports;

Facilitate monthly contract review meetings with the OEM;

To stay up to date with all required training and certificates;

To inspect all turbines & balance of plant across the fleet at least semi‐annually and provide feedback to the Operations Director;

To induct external contractors when they first visit a site;

To drive process and technical improvements as directed;

To support the hand‐over of new sites, assisting with Customer walk‐downs and collation of final snagging lists prior to achieving commercial take‐over;

To be responsible for any other activities that promote the safe operation of the site and maximise the generation of the wind farm.
