Project Manager

Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team delivering some of the UK’s most high profile renewable energy and electric vehicle charging projects.

This is a key role reporting to the Head of Project Delivery.  This role will involve efficiently manage multiple projects, many of which will be Commercial Rooftop Solar PV, but could also be more esoteric consultancy projects requiring a broader level of experience.

SYZYGY’S VISION

To be the leading Renewable Energy Consultancy.

Delivering strategic, practical and commercially sustainable solutions globally.

Winner of the 2018 BusinessGreen Awards “Consultancy of the Year”, Syzygy is a leading renewable energy and low carbon technology consultancy.  We provide many of the UK and Europe’s largest commercial real estate owners and developers with an accessible route into renewable energy generation and the practical deployment of on-site low carbon technologies.

Founded in 2010 we have advised clients across the world on over 20 technologies (including Solar PV, Wind, Hydro, Biomass, Heat Networks, Anaerobic Digestion, Battery Storage and Electric Vehicle Charging). Solar has been the dominant technology since the business was set up.

We provide a unique, end-to-end service to our clients, advising initially on identifying opportunities, assessing the technical and financial feasibility, design, specification, procurement (tendering), construction management and finally we operate 150 completed, energy generating assets.  We are alongside our client throughout this process making sure that their capital is protected.

Understanding the technologies and how those can be applied practically and commercially for our clients is, of course, a given: understanding our clients’ sector and specifically their own businesses is one of our core strengths, and something that specifically sets us apart.
Our team of 11 are passionate about low carbon technologies, excellent client service and have identified the values that continue to make Syzygy the leading independent renewables consultancy in the UK.  These are:

Client First
We Love it
Expert Practical Solution
Socially, Financially & Environmentally sustainable
Deliver together

THE FUTURE

This industry is incredibly fast moving and we are constantly evolving and adapting to change.  This can involve developing new products or services.  For example, in the past year we have conceived, developed, launched and are now generating income from a unique software application we have designed, providing clients with a data-backed site feasibility for Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.

The future is incredibly bright for us, we are working in an incredibly exciting sector, we have a great team, both technically but, importantly, culturally and we have an amazing group of loyal clients.  Our business plan sets us on a path to growth over the next five years with a clear vision of where we intend to be in this period.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The low carbon sector is, without question, firmly established within the mainstream.  However, what makes this industry different is that this industry is experiencing huge growth.  Syzygy has developed a business plan to enable us to grow – ensuring our project flow is delivered efficiently will enable us to grow and develop the new work streams that we have identified.

We are a small (but growing), close-knit team.  You will be happy to roll up your sleeves, manage and develop your team as well as your own project work flow, which we intend to limit to allow for the management of the team.

Our commitment to you is a positive working environment, working alongside some very talented people with exposure to exciting projects and technologies.
